Document has been reformatted to meet World Wide Web specifications.)A house RESOLUTIONTo recognize and honor Chaplain, Colonel Brian L.Bohlman, upon the occasion of his retirement after many years of exemplaryservice, and to wish him continued success and happiness in all his futureendeavors.Whereas, it isaltogether fitting and proper that the members of the House of Representativesof the State of South Carolina should pause in their deliberations to expresstheir gratitude to Chaplain, Colonel Brian L. Bohlman, for his significantcontributions to the United States Air Force, the South Carolina Air NationalGuard, the Georgia Air National Guard, and the United States Air Force ChaplainCorps; andWhereas, ColonelBohlman is a graduate of the Community College of the Air Force, LibertyUniversity, Columbia International University, and Erskine Seminary. He wasordained in 1996 and is endorsed by the Coalition of Spirit-Filled Churches;andWhereas, in 1992 ChaplainBohlman began his military career when he enlisted in the Air Force as a chaplainassistant. He earned his commission through the Air Force Reserve ChaplainCandidate Program in 1997. In 2000 he became a chaplain in the South CarolinaAir National Guard, until 2018, when he transferred to the Georgia NationalGuard; andWhereas, he held manypositions in the United States Air Force Chaplain Corps, including WingChaplain at the 169th Fighter Wing, Chaplain at the 116thAir Control Wing, Staff Chaplain at the USAF Chaplain Corps College, AugmenteeChaplain Inspector with ACC and AMC, Staff Chaplain at USSOUTHCOM for theNational Guard State Partnership Program, and Staff Chaplain for Joint Plansand Exercises at USAFE HQ; andWhereas, when ColonelBrian L. Bohlman was assigned to Georgia Air National Guard Joint ForceHeadquarters, he served as the 139th Intelligence Squadron Chaplainand National Guard Assistant for the U.S. Air Forces Africa at RamsteinAirbase, Germany. In this role, he advised senior leaders on the National GuardState Partnership Program Chaplain Corps engagements, built interoperabilitywith NATO and Allied Chaplains, and cared for the warrior's soul by providingand coordinating spiritual support for 50,200 Total Force Airmen, DoDcivilians, and families; andWhereas, ChaplainBohlman has supported five State Partnership Program engagements in SouthAmerica and the Caribbean. He was deployed seven times and has ministered onevery continent. In 2013, he was named the Air National Guard Chaplain of theYear; andWhereas, he is an ordainedminister of Harvest Church in Lexington, and resides in West Columbia with hisbeloved wife, Shelley, and their daughter, MaryEllen; andWhereas, grateful forhis many years of distinguished service, the members of the South CarolinaHouse of Representatives take great pleasure in extending their best wishes toColonel, Chaplain Brian L. Bohlman as he transitions to a well-deservedretirement and the leisurely, unhurried pace of the days ahead. Now, therefore,Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:That the members of theSouth Carolina House of Representatives,by this resolution, recognize and honor Chaplain, Colonel Brian L.
