1AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:2162(D)(2)(a)(i), relative to psychosocial rehabilitation
3services; to provide for educational requirements to provide psychosocial
4rehabilitation services; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6Section 1. R.S. 40:2162(D)(2)(a)(i) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as
7 follows:
8§2162. Specialized behavioral health rehabilitation services in the Louisiana medical
9assistance program

11D. In order to be eligible to receive Medicaid reimbursement, all behavioral
12health services providers shall ensure that any individual rendering PSR or CPST
13services for the licensed and accredited provider agency meets all of the following
14requirements:

16(2)(a) Any individual rendering PSR services for a licensed and accredited
17provider agency shall hold a minimum of one of the following:
18(i) A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in the field
19of counseling, social work, psychology, sociology, rehabilitation services, special
20education, early childhood education, secondary education, family and consumer
