sb375/chaptered.txt2026 Regular Session ENROLLEDACT No. 500SENATE BILL NO. 375BY SENATOR MIZELL1AN ACT2 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:1615(A)(4) and to enact R.S. 40:1615(A)(5) and (6), relative3to fire fighting foam; to provide for Class B fire fighting foam containing fluorinated4organic chemicals; to provide for definitions; and to provide for related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6Section 1. R.S. 40:1615(A)(4) is hereby amended and reenacted and R.S.7 40:1615(A)(5) and (6) are hereby enacted to read as follows:8§1615. Class B fire fighting foam containing fluorinated organic chemicals;9definitions; use restrictions10A. As used in this Part, the following terms have the meaning ascribed to11them in this Section, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:12* * *13(4) "Testing" means calibration testing, conformance testing, or fixed system14testing the evaluation of fire fighting equipment, systems, or foam concentrates15for operability, performance verification, calibration, conformance to16manufacturer specifications, or regulatory compliance including but not limited17to discharge testing of fixed fire suppression systems, mobile apparatus testing,18proportioning system calibrations, and system acceptance testing. "Testing"19does not include emergency fire fighting operations.20(5) "Training" means instruction, drills, exercises, demonstrations, or21other activities conducted to familiarize personnel with the deployment,22handling, storage, mixing, proportioning, or application of fire fighting foam,23including live fire exercises and simulated fire response scenarios.
