Commending the Patrick Henry High School Scholastic Bowl team.

WHEREAS, the Patrick Henry High School Scholastic Bowl team of Glade Spring won the Virginia High School League Class 1 state championship in 2026; and
WHEREAS, after an exceptional season, the Patrick Henry High School Scholastic Bowl team returned to the state championship after finishing as the state runner-up in 2025; and
WHEREAS, in the 2026 state final, the Patrick Henry High School Scholastic Bowl team finished with a score of 2–1 and 630 total points; and
WHEREAS, the successful campaign was a tribute to the skill and knowledge of all members of the team, the leadership and guidance of coaches and advisors, and the enthusiastic support of the entire Patrick Henry High School community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Patrick Henry High School Scholastic Bowl team on winning the Virginia High School League Class 1 state championship in 2026; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Elizabeth Belcher, head coach of the Patrick Henry High School Scholastic Bowl team, as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the team's achievements.
