        AS AMENDED BY
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1
        AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO SCHOOL BULLYING.
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
        Section 1. Amend § 4164, Title 14 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
        § 4164. School bullying awareness and prevention; criminal youth gang detection.
        (b)
        Prohibition of bullying. —
        (2) Each school district and charter school shall establish a policy which, at a minimum, includes
        all of
         the following components:
        j. A requirement that
        the school use the Department of Education’s template to notify
         a parent of
        any
        a student who is an alleged
         target of bullying or
        an alleged
          perpetrator of
        bullying be notified and provided with a form to be generated by the Department of Justice describing the role of the Department of Justice School Ombudsman and providing contact information. This form must also inform a parent of the parent’s right to know when the bullying incident in question has been reported to the Department of Education under paragraph (b)(2)k. of this section.
