WHEREAS, Brenda Campbell, a distinguished funeral director, owner of the Campbell Funeral Home in Kilmarnock, and beloved member of the Northern Neck community, died on February 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Brenda Campbell made history as the first woman to become a licensed embalmer and funeral director in the Northern Neck; and
WHEREAS, Brenda Campbell operated the Campbell Funeral Home with extraordinary grace and compassion, taking great care to attend to and support grieving families in their time of need; and
WHEREAS, Brenda Campbell will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her many family members, friends, and colleagues at the Campbell Funeral Home; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Brenda Campbell, a treasured member of the Northern Neck community whose kindness and generosity made an impact on countless lives; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Brenda Campbell as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for her memory.
