Marzan, USAR, an honorable veteran, devoted husband and father, and beloved member of the Spotsylvania County community, died in the line of duty on March 1, 2026; andWHEREAS, Robert Marzan grew up in Sacramento, California, and had recently purchased a home in Spotsylvania County, where he planned to raise his family and contribute to his community; andWHEREAS, Robert Marzan served his country with honor and distinction as a member of the United States Army Reserves and was assigned to the 103rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command in Des Moines, Iowa; andWHEREAS, on March 1, 2026, Robert Marzan and five other American soldiers were killed in action in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, while supporting Operation Epic Fury; andWHEREAS, Robert Marzan's life and sacrifice were honored with a dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on March 7, 2026; andWHEREAS, through his courage, dedication, and commitment to his country and fellow veterans, Robert Marzan embodied the highest ideals of the United States Armed Forces; andWHEREAS, Robert Marzan will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his loving wife, Tina; his children, Justin and Felicia; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be itRESOLVED, That the Senate of Virginia hereby note with great sadness the loss of Chief Warrant Officer Three Robert M. Marzan, USAR, a revered member of the Spotsylvania County community whose selflessness, service, and sacrifice will forever inspire all who knew him; and, be itRESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Chief Warrant Officer Three Robert M. Marzan, USAR, as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's respect for his memory.
