1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for improvements to marked
1.3Trunk Highway 7; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5Section 1. HENNEPIN AND CARVER; TRUNK HIGHWAY 7.
1.6Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $11,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.7account in the trunk highway fund to the commissioner of transportation for predesign;
1.8design; engineering; environmental analysis and remediation; property acquisition, including
1.9easements; and construction of improvements to marked Trunk Highway 7 in the cities of
1.10Chanhassen, Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Minnetonka, Minnetrista, Shorewood, and
1.11St. Bonifacius. This appropriation is for use in conjunction with planned highway
1.12maintenance.
1.13Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in subdivision 1 from the bond
1.14proceeds account in the trunk highway fund, the commissioner of management and budget
1.15shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an amount up to $11,000,000 in the manner, upon
1.16the terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 167.50 to 167.52,
1.17and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XIV, section 11, at the times and in the amounts
1.18requested by the commissioner of transportation. The proceeds of the bonds, except accrued
1.19interest and any premium received from the sale of the bonds, must be deposited in the bond
1.20proceeds account in the trunk highway fund.
1.21EFFECTIVE DATE. This section is effective the day following final enactment.
