1 SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The State Board of Education has filed its Report
3 on Waivers of School Code Mandates, dated February 20, 2026,
4 with the Senate and the House of Representatives as required
5 by Section 2-3.25g of the School Code; and
6 WHEREAS, As per 105 ILCS 5/2-3.25g subsection (d), the
7 waivers were presented to the General Assembly panel
8 consisting of the President of the Senate, the Minority Leader
9 of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the
10 Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, and responses
11 requesting further consideration or no further consideration
12 were returned to the State Board of Education on or before
13 March 5, 2026; and
14 WHEREAS, On March 6, 2026, the State Board of Education
15 submitted the Non-Resident Tuition waiver request from Malden
16 Community Consolidated School District 84 (W-100-7498) to the
17 General Assembly for further consideration; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
19 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF
20 REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that the request made by
21 Malden Community Consolidated School District 84 with respect
22 to Non-Resident Tuition, identified in the report filed by the
SJ0058 - 2 - LRB104 21145 LAW 35471 r
1 State Board of Education as request W-100-7498, is denied.
