The study aims to promote transparency, accountability, andeffective stewardship of state resources.The study shall include, but not be limited to, the following:(1) Identifying all organizations that receive state funding and that areexempt from taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code;(2) Reviewing state funding sources that provide funds to suchorganizations;(3) Articulating the purpose for which such state funds are awarded orgranted;(4) Identifying the amount of such state funds and qualification standardsfor receiving such state funds;(5) Examining allowable uses of state funds received by nonprofitorganizations;(6) Analyzing oversight and traceability of state funds received bynonprofit organizations; and(7) Reviewing the return on investment of state funds received bynonprofit organizations.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE ONE HUNDRED NINTHLEGISLATURE OF NEBRASKA, SECOND SESSION:1. That the Appropriations Committee of the Legislature shall bedesignated to conduct an interim study to carry out the purposes of thisresolution.2.
