1.2relating to state government; rejecting appointments not confirmed within 30 days;
1.3amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 15.066, subdivision 3.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 15.066, subdivision 3, is amended to read:
1.6Subd. 3. Advice and consent time limit. (a) For appointments that require confirmation
1.7by only the senate, if the senate does not reject confirm an appointment within 60 30
1.8legislative days of the day of receipt of the letter of appointment by the president of the
1.9senate, the senate has consented to rejected the appointment.
1.10(b) For appointments that require confirmation by both the senate and the house of
1.11representatives, if neither the senate nor and the house of representatives has rejected have
1.12not both confirmed an appointment within 60 30 legislative days of the later of the day of
1.13receipt of the letter of appointment by the president of the senate or the day of receipt of
1.14the letter of appointment by the speaker of the house of representatives, the house of
1.15representatives and senate have consented to rejected the appointment.
1.16(c) This section does not apply to appointments to the Campaign Finance and Public
1.17Disclosure Board under section 10A.02.
