  A RESOLUTION
  Honoring the Princeton High School boys basketball  1
  team on winning the 2026 Division I State  2
  Championship.  3
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th   4
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Princeton High       5
School boys basketball team as the 2026 Division I State Champion; and   6
     WHEREAS, The members of the Princeton High School boys basketball   7
team are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be        8
truly exceptional competitors. During the 2025-2026 season, the  9
Vikings amassed a 24-3 record and capped the season by winning the       10
Division I State Championship crown, a first in school history,  11
defeating Hilliard Bradley with a score of 59-28. The unwavering  12
commitment of the players and coaches has earned them the esteem of      13
many, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and  14
     WHEREAS, Head Coach Bryan Wyant has demonstrated remarkable  15
energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Princeton High  16
School boys basketball team to victory, and his skill is reflected in    17
the squad’s outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless     18
efforts, the members have distinguished themselves on the court, and     19
he has received respect and admiration from all who know him; and        20
     WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future    21
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and    22
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has     23
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the     24
Princeton High School boys basketball team have gained discipline and    25
perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives;  26
therefore be it  27

As Adopted by the House
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     28
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay       29
tribute to the Princeton High School boys basketball team on securing      30
the 2026 Division I State Championship title and honor all those who       31
contributed to the success of this fine squad; and be it further  32
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     33
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Princeton High  34
School boys basketball team.  35
