  A RESOLUTION
  Honoring Shenandoah Christian Church on its  1
  Sesquicentennial.  2
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly    3
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Shenandoah  4
Christian Church on the hallowed occasion of its One Hundred Fiftieth    5
Anniversary; and  6
     WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1876, Shenandoah Christian Church   7
has offered its congregation the pathway to a more meaningful life by    8
illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the church was      9
founded. The spirit of love and Christian fellowship that exists among   10
the parishioners not only prevails within the church edifice itself      11
but also extends beyond those sacred walls to touch the lives of  12
everyone encountered by these devout disciples; and  13
     WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastors, both past     14
and present, Shenandoah Christian Church has experienced continual       15
growth and has provided a source of moral guidance and spiritual  16
motivation for each of its members. Over the years, the church has       17
enhanced the quality of life within the Shiloh area, and through its     18
generous efforts, it has earned the gratitude and respect of the many    19
citizens it has so capably served; and  20
     WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone which   21
represents dedication and commitment. For a century and a half, the      22
members of Shenandoah Christian Church have kept their faith alive in    23
the community, and on this special anniversary, they have accepted the   24
challenge of carrying their beliefs into the future; therefore be it     25
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General   26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Shenandoah   27

As Adopted by the Senate
Christian Church on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary and pay  28
tribute to all those joining in the celebration of this joyous event;      29
and be it further  30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly  31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Shenandoah Christian Church.      32
