Allstate Ins. Co. et al.1AN ACT2 Relative to the appropriation of monies out of the state general fund to be used to pay the3consent judgment captioned "Gina Raymond versus AllState Insurance Company,4Geico Casualty Insurance Company and Preston J. Volpi" between the State of5Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development, and Gina6Raymond; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related matters.7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8Section 1. The sum of Sixty-Five Thousand and No/100 ($65,000.00) Dollars is9 hereby payable out of the State General Fund (Direct) for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 for10 payment of the consent judgment captioned "Gina Raymond versus AllState Insurance11 Company, Geico Casualty Insurance Company and Preston J. Volpi", signed on February12 4, 2026, between the state of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and13 Development, and Gina Raymond, bearing number 819-252, Division E, on the docket of14 the Twenty-Fourth Judicial District, parish of Jefferson, state of Louisiana.15Section 2. The judgment may only be paid from this appropriation if it is final and16 shall be paid as to principal, interest, court costs, and expert witness fees as awarded in the17 judgment. If the provisions of the judgment conflict with the provisions of this Act, the18 provisions of the judgment shall be controlling. Any other provision of this Act not in19 conflict with the provisions of the judgment shall control. Payment shall be made only after20 presentation to the state treasurer of documentation required by the state treasurer. Further,Page 1 of 2HLS 26RS-1496 ORIGINALHB NO. 10151 the judgment shall be deemed to have been paid on the effective date of this Act, and interest2 shall cease to run as of that date.3Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not4 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature5 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.
