 PROPERTY: Authorizes the transfer of certain state property in Jefferson Parish
1AN ACT
2 To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer
3or exchange of certain state property in Jefferson Parish; to provide property
4descriptions; to provide for the reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and
5conditions; to provide an effective date; and to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7Section 1. The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department
8 of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, notwithstanding any other provision of law to the
9 contrary, are hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease, or deliver
10 any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have in and to all or any portion of the
11 following described property in Jefferson Parish to Marengo Property II, LLC in exchange
12 for the property described in Section 2 of this Act:
13Tract G-3-F-3, Segnette Park Subdivision, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana
14Section 2. In exchange for the property described in Section 1 of this Act, the
15 commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department of Culture, Recreation
16 and Tourism are hereby authorized and empowered to accept from Marengo Property II,
17 LLC title to all or any portion of the following described property:
18Lots 441-A1 and 442-A2, Segnette Park Subdivision, Jefferson Parish,
19Louisiana.
20Section 3. The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department
21 of Culture, Recreation and Tourism are hereby authorized to enter into such agreements,
22 covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to execute such documents as may be necessary
23 to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of title,

1 excluding mineral rights, of the property described in Section 1 of this Act, and as more
2 specifically described in any such agreements entered into and documents executed by and
3 between the parties, provided that the state receives consideration proportionate to the
4 appraised value of any state property exchanged.
5Section 4. The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department
6 of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, notwithstanding any other provision of law to the
7 contrary, are hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease, or deliver
8 any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have in and to all or any portion of the
9 following described property in Jefferson Parish to Marengo Property II, LLC:
10Tract G-3-F-3, Segnette Park Subdivision, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana
11Section 5. The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department
12 of Culture, Recreation and Tourism are hereby authorized to enter into such agreements,
13 covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to execute such documents as may be necessary
14 to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of title,
15 excluding mineral rights, of the property described in Section 4 of this Act, and as more
16 specifically described in any such agreements entered into and documents executed by and
17 between the parties, in exchange for consideration proportionate to the appraised value of
18 the property.
19Section 6. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
20 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
21 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
22 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
23 effective on the day following such approval.
