hb1042/introduced.txtHLS 26RS-1467 ORIGINAL2026 Regular SessionHOUSE BILL NO. 1042BY REPRESENTATIVE GREENPROPERTY: Authorizes the transfer of certain state property in Jefferson Parish1AN ACT2 To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer3or exchange of certain state property in Jefferson Parish; to provide property4descriptions; to provide for the reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and5conditions; to provide an effective date; and to provide for related matters.6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7Section 1. The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department8 of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, notwithstanding any other provision of law to the9 contrary, are hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease, or deliver10 any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have in and to all or any portion of the11 following described property in Jefferson Parish to Marengo Property II, LLC in exchange12 for the property described in Section 2 of this Act:13Tract G-3-F-3, Segnette Park Subdivision, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana14Section 2. In exchange for the property described in Section 1 of this Act, the15 commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department of Culture, Recreation16 and Tourism are hereby authorized and empowered to accept from Marengo Property II,17 LLC title to all or any portion of the following described property:18Lots 441-A1 and 442-A2, Segnette Park Subdivision, Jefferson Parish,19Louisiana.20Section 3. The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department21 of Culture, Recreation and Tourism are hereby authorized to enter into such agreements,22 covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to execute such documents as may be necessary23 to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of title,Page 1 of 2HLS 26RS-1467 ORIGINALHB NO. 10421 excluding mineral rights, of the property described in Section 1 of this Act, and as more2 specifically described in any such agreements entered into and documents executed by and3 between the parties, provided that the state receives consideration proportionate to the4 appraised value of any state property exchanged.5Section 4. The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the Department6 of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, notwithstanding any other provision of law to the7 contrary, are hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease, or deliver8 any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have in and to all or any portion of the9 following described property in Jefferson Parish to Marengo Property II, LLC:10Tract G-3-F-3, Segnette Park Subdivision, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana11Section 5.
