1AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:1567(A)(1)(a) and (B), relative to local fire departments; to
3require a fire department to obtain an identification number from the National
4Emergency Response Information System; to require reporting of all incidents; and
5to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7Section 1. R.S. 40:1567(A)(1)(a) and (B) are hereby amended and reenacted to read
8 as follows:
9§1567. Fire departments; fire department identification number; fire reports
10A.(1)(a) Every municipal fire department, fire protection district, and
11volunteer fire department, as recognized by its local governing authority, shall obtain
12a fire department identification (FDID) number from the state fire marshal National
13Emergency Response Information System.

15B. Organizations which have been issued an FDID number shall submit
16structural fire reports of all incidents electronically pursuant to the standards set by
17the state fire marshal.
