hb1167/chaptered.txtENROLLED2026 Regular SessionACT No. 337HOUSE BILL NO. 1167BY REPRESENTATIVE GLORIOSO1AN ACT2 To designate the elevated portion of Louisiana Highway 433 in Slidell, Louisiana as the3"Emile 'Uncle Tobe' Galatas Memorial Bridge"; to designate a portion of United4States Highway 11 in Pearl River, Louisiana as the "Captain Steven Gaudet, Jr.5Memorial Highway"; to provide for implementation; and to provide for related6matters.7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8Section 1. The elevated portion of Louisiana Highway 433 from Dubee Pena Road9 to Rivet Drive in the city of Slidell, Louisiana, parish of St. Tammany, shall be known and10 is hereby designated as the "Emile 'Uncle Tobe' Galatas Memorial Bridge".11Section 2. The portion of United States Highway 11 from the Dr. T.J. Smith, Sr.12 Expressway to Louisiana Highway 41 in the city of Pearl River, Louisiana, parish of St.13 Tammany, shall be known and is hereby designated the "Captain Steven Gaudet, Jr.14 Memorial Highway".15Section 3. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are16 hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting these designations17 provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's18 actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of the signage, not to19 exceed the sum of seven hundred fifty dollars per sign for the "Emile 'Uncle Tobe' GalatasPage 1 of 2HB NO. 1167 ENROLLED1 Memorial Bridge" and the sum of two thousand two hundred fifty dollars per sign for the2 "Captain Steven Gaudet, Jr. Memorial Highway".SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVESPRESIDENT OF THE SENATEGOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF LOUISIANAAPPROVED:Page 2 of 2
