4 HR____ CONGRATULATING THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA IN
5 HUNTSVILLE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM FOR ITS HISTORIC SEASON.

7WHEREAS, highest commendations and congratulations
8 are herein proudly presented to The University of Alabama in
9 Huntsville (UAH) Women's Basketball Team for its historic
10 2025-26 season, culminating in competing in the National
11 Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Final
12 Four; and
13WHEREAS, through teamwork, diligence, and a
14 commitment to excellence, the UAH Chargers finished with a
15 program-record 32 wins, including 21 conference victories,
16 while also setting records for home wins with 20 and NCAA
17 Tournament wins with four; and
18WHEREAS, the Chargers claimed their first-ever Gulf
19 South Conference (GSC) Regular Season Championship, earned a
20 Top 25 national ranking for the first time in program
21 history, and hosted the NCAA South Regional for the first
22 time; and
23WHEREAS, the UAH Women's Basketball Team won the NCAA
24 South Regional Championship against Eckerd 66-46 to advance
25 to the Elite Eight; subsequently, the team defeated Cal Poly
26 Pomona 61-53 and advanced to the NCAA Division II Final
27 Four; despite the team's loss in the Final Four, the
28 Chargers capped off the most successful season in program

29 history; and
30WHEREAS, the historic UAH Chargers team includes Lili
31 Wilken, Ava McSwain, Bella White, Mia Hollingsworth, Millie
32 Brown, Danika Starr, Ivey Maddox, Paris Opelt, Chloe Siegel,
33 Lindsay Garner, Grace Lynch, and McKenzie Percoski; the team
34 was expertly coached by Head Coach Allen Sharpe, who was
35 named GSC Coach of the Year in his second season leading the
36 program, and Assistant Coaches Summer Cramer and Kyle
37 Overstreet; support staff included Graduate Assistant
38 Jeremia Montgomery and Student Manager Olivia Vandergriff;
39 and
40WHEREAS, individually, guard Lili Wilken capped off
41 her historic season with a program-record of 836 points; she
42 is one of the most decorated players in program history and
43 was selected to the GSC All-Tournament Team, named the South
44 Regional Most Outstanding Player, and earned a spot on the
45 South Regional All-Tournament Team; the team also collected
46 numerous postseason honors, including conference and
47 national awards for players and Head Coach Allen Sharpe; and
48WHEREAS, from cutting down the nets in Huntsville to
49 reaching the Final Four in Pittsburgh, the 2025-26 Chargers
50 established a new standard for UAH women's basketball and
51 delivered a season that will be remembered as a defining
52 chapter in program history; now therefore,
53BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
54 LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That The University of Alabama in
55 Huntsville Women's Basketball Team is highly congratulated,
56 and we hereby dedicate this resolution to the team members

58 best wishes for continued success in all future endeavors.
