sb487/chaptered.txt2026 Regular Session ENROLLEDACT No. 940SENATE BILL NO. 487BY SENATOR OWEN1AN ACT2 To amend and reenact R.S. 4:715(A)(7) and 719(B) and to repeal R.S. 4:727, relative to the3Charitable Raffles, Bingo and Keno Licensing Law; to provide for premises rental4agreements; to provide for terms; and to provide for related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6Section 1. R.S. 4:715(A)(7) and 719(B) are hereby amended and reenacted to read7 as follows:8§715. Personnel to hold games; commissions or salaries; equipment and supplies;9expenses10A. * * *11(7) No lease or other agreement providing for a rental arrangement for12premises or equipment shall provide for payment in excess of the reasonable market13rental rate as mutually agreed to in writing for such the premises or equipment and14in no case shall any payment be based on a percentage of gross receipts or profits15derived from a game of chance.16* * *17§719. Commercial lessor license18* * *19B. No lease or other agreement of any premises by a commercial lessor to20any charitable organization for any charitable gaming session shall provide for21payment in excess of the reasonable market rental rate as mutually agreed to in22writing for such the premises as provided in the local licensing ordinance.
