Document has been reformatted to meet World Wide Web specifications.)A house RESOLUTIONTo express the profound sorrow of the members of thesouth carolina house of representatives upon the passing of william rakin"keem" singleton of james island and to extend the deepest sympathy to hisfamily and many friends.Whereas, the SouthCarolina House of Representatives pauses to recognize and honor the life,legacy, and homegoing of William Rakin Singleton and extend their deepestsympathy to the family and loved ones of Mr. Singleton, praying for comfort andpeace for all who mourn; andWhereas, William RakinSingleton, a native of James Island, was born on June 16, 1981. He was the beloved son of William "Willie" Singletonand Marilyn Smalls Singleton; andWhereas, affectionatelyknown as "Keem," he will be remembered for his strong character, genuine kindness,his sheer love of being on the water, continuing a proud family tradition as athird-generation crabber, as well as his deep devotion to his family, friends,James Island, and the commercial fishing community; andWhereas, Mr. Singletonwas a respected entrepreneur and the proud owner of WRS Transportation, LLC andSingleton Seafoods, LLC, through which he demonstrated a steadfast work ethicand commitment to his community; andWhereas, through hisservice and involvement with the commercial fishing community and area seafoodmarkets, he touched many lives and left an enduring example of hard work andperseverance; andWhereas, he is survivedby his mother, Marilyn Singleton, and sister, Erin Singleton Smith. He will bedeeply missed by his beloved family, friends, and all who had the privilege ofknowing him; andWhereas, in sharing thesorrow of this bereavement, the members of the House extend their sincerecondolences and join in celebrating a life well lived.
