s1452/introduced.txtLEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHOSixty-eighth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2026IN THE SENATESENATE BILL NO. 1452BY FINANCE COMMITTEE1AN ACT2 RELATING TO THE APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PRO-3 GRAM'S DIVISION OF THE IDAHO DIGITAL LEARNING ACADEMY; AMENDING SECTION4 22 OF SENATE BILL NO. 1362, IF ENACTED BY THE SECOND REGULAR SESSION OF5 THE SIXTY-EIGHTH IDAHO LEGISLATURE TO REVISE PROVISIONS REGARDING THE6 IDAHO DIGITAL LEARNING ACADEMY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVID-7 ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:9 SECTION 1. That Section 22 of House Bill No. 1362, if enacted by the10 Second Regular Session of the Sixty-eighth Idaho Legislature, be, and the11 same is hereby amended to read as follows:12SECTION 22. IDAHO DIGITAL LEARNING ACADEMY. The Idaho Digital13 Learning Academy (IDLA), created pursuant to Chapter 55, Title 33,14 Idaho Code, shall utilize state-appropriated funds for the period15 July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, to achieve the following:16(1) Tuition charged by IDLA to Idaho school districts and ch-17 arter schools shall not exceed $40.00 per enrollment.18(2) (1) Provide remedial coursework for students failing to19 achieve proficiency in one or more areas of Idaho's standards-based20 tests.21(3) (2) Pursuant to State Board of Education rule, IDAPA22 08.02.03, provide advanced opportunities, including access to dual23 credit courses, for students.24The preceding list shall not be construed as excluding other25 instruction and training that may be provided by the IDLA.26 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby27 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after28 July 1, 2026.
