BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND,19 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:20Article – Transportation21 5–101.22(a) In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.EXPLANATION: CAPITALS INDICATE MATTER ADDED TO EXISTING LAW.[Brackets] indicate matter deleted from existing law.*hb1646*2HOUSE BILL 16461(b) “Administration” means the Maryland Aviation Administration.2 5–415.1.3 WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNOR AND THE SECRETARY, THE4 ADMINISTRATION MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION SECURITY5 ADMINISTRATION’S SCREENING PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM.6SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an emergency7 measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health or safety, has8 been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three–fifths of all the members elected to9 each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect from the date it is10 enacted.
Authorizing the Maryland Aviation Administration, with the approval of the Governor and the Secretary of Transportation, to participate in the Transportation Security Administration's Screening Partnership Program.
