1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for improvements to the public
1.3safety facility in the city of Belle Plaine; authorizing the sale and issuance of state
1.4bonds.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6Section 1. BELLE PLAINE; PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS.
1.7Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $3,500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund
1.8to the commissioner of public safety for a grant to the city of Belle Plaine for site preparation
1.9and to construct, renovate, furnish, and equip a renovation and expansion of the existing
1.10public safety facility in the city of Belle Plaine to address safety, security, and operational
1.11issues.
1.12Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond
1.13proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
1.14the state in an amount up to $3,500,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
1.15prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
1.16Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.17EFFECTIVE DATE. This section is effective the day following final enactment.
