1A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Mac
2 Meadows.
3WHEREAS, Mac Meadows was born in Paducah, Kentucky, on January 22, 1937,
4 to the late Harvey Meadows and Bertha Mae (Solomon) Meadows; and
5WHEREAS, Mac Meadows was a member and former Deacon at Benton Church of
6 Christ and a veteran of the United States Air Force; and
7WHEREAS, Mac Meadows retired from Westlake Corporation where he worked as
8 a chemical operator; and
9WHEREAS, Mac Meadows loved playing golf and was a huge fan of the St. Louis
10 Cardinals, University of Kentucky Wildcats, and Marshall County High School
11 basketball; and
12WHEREAS, Mac Meadows passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at his home
13 in Benton, Kentucky; and
14WHEREAS, Mac Meadows is survived by his wife, Dionna Jean (Owens)
15 Meadows; son, Barry (Kathy) Meadows; daughter, Jeanne (Ronnie) Lovett; sister,
16 Charlotte (Larry) Reber; grandchildren, Brent (Brooke) Lovett, Ben (Paige) Lovett,
17 Bethany (Shaun) Hayden, Travis (Becky) Meadows, Taylor Meadows, Maddie (Alex)
18 Siefert-Dunn; and great-grandchildren, Madden Lovett, Owen Hayden, Elleigh Hayden,
19 MacKenna Lovett, Hillton Lovett, Riker Keesee, Beau Keesee, River Meadows, Remi
20 Meadows, and Cora Dunn;
21NOW, THEREFORE,
22 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of
23 Kentucky:
24Section 1. The Senate hereby joins with Senator Danny Carroll in expressing its
25 most profound sympathy upon the passing of Mac Meadows and extends its heartfelt
26 condolences to his family in this time of loss.
27Section 2.       When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving
