22WHEREAS, Bishop Kenneth Lydell Robinson Sr. passed away on Sunday,
23 April 12, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of sixty-one (61); and
24
25WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was a pastor, singer, musician, radio
26 personality, and businessman active in Central Arkansas throughout his life;
27 and
28
29WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was the son of Ulysses Robinson Jr. and Lee
30 Ella Robinson, and Bishop Robinson grew up in the McAlmont community of North
31 Little Rock; and
32
33WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson's father, Ulysses Robinson Jr., was a pastor,
34 radio announcer, and gospel music performer, and Bishop Robinson's parents
35 raised him in church, which would have a large impact on the course of Bishop
36 Robinson's life; and

2      WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson grew up surrounded by gospel music and
3 developed a great love and expertise in that music, was a highly talented
4 vocalist and instrumentalist, and could play organ, piano, and numerous other
5 musical instruments; and
6
7      WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson preached his first sermon when he was eleven
8 (11) years old and first became a pastor at the age of eighteen (18) when he
9 led St. Stephens Baptist Church in Scott; and
10
11      WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was referred to by Paul S. Morton, founder of
12 the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International movement, as one (1)
13 of the twelve (12) founding fathers of the movement; and
14
15      WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was the senior pastor of Antioch Full Gospel
16 Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was a member of the Full Gospel
17 Baptist Church Fellowship International Council of Bishops, on which he
18 served as the Northeast Central Regional Bishop, tending to parts of New
19 York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Arkansas; and
20
21      WHEREAS, in February of 2026, Bishop Robinson celebrated fifty (50)
22 years of ministry; and
23
24      WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was the longtime host of Power Praise Gospel
25 on KIPR 92.3 FM, the leader of the musical group "Bishop Kenneth Robinson &
26 Chosen", and the founder and president of Robinson Mortuary; and
27
28      WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson was the visionary behind the Bishop Kenneth L.
29 Robinson Music Convention, a board member of the Gospel Music Workshop of
30 America, and Chairman of the Gospel Music Workshop of America Quartet
31 Division; and
32
33      WHEREAS, Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. said of Bishop Robinson's
34 passing that, "...[Bishop Robinson was] a visionary pastor, adept
35 entrepreneur, gifted musician, and one of the founding fathers of the Full
36 Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International. His leadership, creativity,

1 and unwavering faith touched countless lives and strengthened the body of
2 Christ."; and

4      WHEREAS, Bishop Robinson is survived by his wife of thirty-eight (38)
5 years, Dr. Brenda Robinson, his children, Roderick, Kenbria, and Kenneth Jr.,
6 and his grandchildren, MaKensley, Karis, Kendall Jr., Morrison, Kenneth III,
7 and Carter,
8
9 NOW THEREFORE,
10 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
11 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN:
12
13      THAT the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring therein,
14 remember Bishop Kenneth L. Robinson Sr. and recognize his many contributions
15 to the State of Arkansas and his local community.
16
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption of this resolution, an appropriate
18 copy be provided to Dr. Brenda Robinson and family by the Chief Clerk of the
19 House of Representatives.
