relative to payments following settlements by insurance companies; and the
petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 1328) of Todd M. Smola for
legislation to increase maximum liabilities of annuity benefit insurance payable
by the Massachusetts Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association, reports
recommending that the accompanying order (House, No. 5336) ought to be
adopted.

1  Ordered, That the committee on Financial Services be authorized to sit during a recess of
2   the General Court to make an investigation and study of House documents numbered 1087,
3   1097, 1150, 1160, 1175, 1176, 1184, 1217, 1225, 1250, 1252, 1293, 1303 and 1328, relative to
4   home insurance, flood insurance, civil, and service contracts.
5  Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study
6   and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such
7   recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives
8   on or before December 31, 2026.
