HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE THE MOUNTAIN HOME HIGH SCHOOL BOMBERS AS
THE 2025 CLASS 5A BOYS' CROSS COUNTRY STATE
CHAMPIONS.
Subtitle
TO RECOGNIZE THE MOUNTAIN HOME HIGH
SCHOOL BOMBERS AS THE 2025 CLASS 5A
BOYS' CROSS COUNTRY STATE CHAMPIONS.
WHEREAS, the Mountain Home High School Bombers boys' cross country team
won the Class 5A state championship in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Friday,
November 7, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Bombers won the Class 5A state championship with a final
score of thirty (30) points, sixty-two (62) points lower than the next
ranking team; and
WHEREAS, with their victory at the 2025 Class 5A state championship,
the Bombers have won four (4) consecutive state titles and have won state
titles five (5) of the last seven (7) years; and
WHEREAS, the Bombers team members are Garrett Barr, Jackson Free,
Caiden Kaspar, Tyler Lukac, Kohler Mathews, Cooper Moore, Dylan Prins,
Trenton Smith, Jonah Hartman, Levi Payne, Samuel "Sam" Rodriguez, Ryan
Cooper, Hunter Ford, Aaron Hale, Brody Rose, Wave Simmons, Simeon Costner,
and Oakley Recktenwald; and

WHEREAS, Bombers team members Jackson Free, Garrett Barr, Trenton
Smith, Simeon Costner, and Wave Simmons earned All-State honors; and
WHEREAS, Jackson Free earned individual first place victories in back-
to-back state championships; and
WHEREAS, the Bombers team manager was Pixie Bolick; and
WHEREAS, the Bombers were trained by Athletic Trainers Callie Hendricks
and Weston Vickers; and
WHEREAS, the Bombers were supported by Athletic Director Mitch Huskey,
Principal Mary Beth Russell, Assistant Principal Steve Morris, Assistant
Principal Philip Goodwin, Assistant Superintendent Judy Lawrence, and
Superintendent Allyson Dewey; and
WHEREAS, the Bombers were led by Head Coach Wil Norris, Assistant Coach
Tilda Helgesson, and Assistant Coach Roddy Patrick; and
WHEREAS, for the first time in program history, Mountain Home High
School swept both the boys' and girls' Class 5A cross country state
championships in 2025,
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:
THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Mountain Home High
School Bombers boys' cross country track team as the 2025 Class 5A state
champions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be
presented to Head Coach Wil Norris by the Chief Clerk of the House of
Representatives.
