17BOYS' CROSS COUNTRY STATE CHAMPIONS.

19WHEREAS, the Mountain Home High School Bombers boys' cross country team
20 won the Class 5A state championship in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Friday,
21 November 7, 2025; and
22
23WHEREAS, the Bombers won the Class 5A state championship with a final
24 score of thirty (30) points, sixty-two (62) points lower than the next
25 ranking team; and
26
27WHEREAS, with their victory at the 2025 Class 5A state championship,
28 the Bombers have won four (4) consecutive state titles and have won state
29 titles five (5) of the last seven (7) years; and
30
31WHEREAS, the Bombers team members are Garrett Barr, Jackson Free,
32 Caiden Kaspar, Tyler Lukac, Kohler Mathews, Cooper Moore, Dylan Prins,
33 Trenton Smith, Jonah Hartman, Levi Payne, Samuel "Sam" Rodriguez, Ryan
34 Cooper, Hunter Ford, Aaron Hale, Brody Rose, Wave Simmons, Simeon Costner,
35 and Oakley Recktenwald; and

1      WHEREAS, Bombers team members Jackson Free, Garrett Barr, Trenton
2 Smith, Simeon Costner, and Wave Simmons earned All-State honors; and
3
4      WHEREAS, Jackson Free earned individual first place victories in back-
5 to-back state championships; and
6
7      WHEREAS, the Bombers team manager was Pixie Bolick; and
8
9      WHEREAS, the Bombers were trained by Athletic Trainers Callie Hendricks
10 and Weston Vickers; and
11
12      WHEREAS, the Bombers were supported by Athletic Director Mitch Huskey,
13 Principal Mary Beth Russell, Assistant Principal Steve Morris, Assistant
14 Principal Philip Goodwin, Assistant Superintendent Judy Lawrence, and
15 Superintendent Allyson Dewey; and
16
17      WHEREAS, the Bombers were led by Head Coach Wil Norris, Assistant Coach
18 Tilda Helgesson, and Assistant Coach Roddy Patrick; and
19
20      WHEREAS, for the first time in program history, Mountain Home High
21 School swept both the boys' and girls' Class 5A cross country state
22 championships in 2025,

24 NOW THEREFORE,
25 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

28      THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Mountain Home High
29 School Bombers boys' cross country track team as the 2025 Class 5A state
30 champions.

32 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be
33 presented to Head Coach Wil Norris by the Chief Clerk of the House of
34 Representatives.
