  A RESOLUTION
  Honoring Ruby Remati on winning two titles at the  1
  2026 U.S. Collegiate Championships in synchronized  2
  swimming.  3
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly    4
of Ohio are pleased to commend Ruby Remati as the 2026 U.S. Collegiate   5
Champion in the A Figures and Duet events; and  6
     WHEREAS, A member of The Ohio State University artistic swimming    7
team, Ruby Remati is deserving of recognition for her exemplary  8
accomplishments in her sport. At this year's U.S. Collegiate  9
Championship Meet, she won first place in the A Figures event as well    10
as in the Duet event with her teammate, Keana Hunter, and she helped     11
her team win third place overall. In addition, she was named the 2026    12
Collegiate Athlete of the Year, and her noteworthy record of personal    13
achievement stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; and  14
     WHEREAS, Through her participation in sports, Ruby Remati has       15
learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and    16
good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her      17
throughout her life. Through her outstanding efforts, she has inspired   18
countless people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and she has      19
set an example worthy of the highest praise; and  20
     WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of     21
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards   22
of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a        23
valuable educational tool. With sports playing such an important part    24
in the development of our young people, we are extremely pleased to      25
pay tribute to such a fine athlete as Ruby Remati; therefore be it       26
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General    27
S. R. No. 350  Page 2
As Adopted by the Senate
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Ruby Remati on      28
her remarkable 2025-2026 synchronized swimming season and extend best      29
wishes for continued success; and be it further  30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly  31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Ruby Remati.  32
