Document has been reformatted to meet World Wide Web specifications.)A house RESOLUTIONto congratulate lee county first steps on its 2026 annualEarly learning summit and literacy program Sponsorship gala, to be held on May7, 2026.Whereas, Lee CountyFirst Steps is dedicated to promoting school readiness and advancing earlyliteracy and numeracy for young children while supporting families throughoutthe local and regional community; andWhereas, on May 7,2026, Lee County First Steps will host its Annual Celebrating Early LearningGala, serving as the culminating event of the 2026 Early Learning Summit andLiteracy Program sponsorship activities; andWhereas, the gala willhighlight the meaningful impact of programs supported by Save the Children andFirst Steps, including powerful testimonials from participating parents andcaregivers; andWhereas, this eventwill provide a valuable opportunity for community members to engage, connect,and advocate for young children and their families in meaningful ways; andWhereas, the Early LearningCommunity Initiative will include a summit featuring presentations on theimportance of school readiness, literacy, and numeracy, as well as the criticalrole of parents and caregivers in a child's educational success; andWhereas, the summitwill offer access to resources and information through participation by local,regional, and state agencies, equipping families and caregivers with tools to supportearly childhood development; andWhereas, the gala willserve as the capstone event of the initiative, offering insight into thepositive outcomes and transformative impact of these programs on children andfamilies; andWhereas, both thesummit and gala are designed to strengthen partnerships, expand Lee CountyFirst Steps' early childhood network, and increase community awareness andengagement; andWhereas, these eventswill enhance access to learning materials and opportunities for children byproviding families with tangible resources and support systems; andWhereas, Lee County FirstSteps recognizes and supports the 2026 Early Learning Community Initiative andAnnual Celebrating Early Learning Gala as vital efforts to advance earlychildhood education and family engagement.
