To amend title 23, United States Code, to provide for resilience grants for strengthening, upgrading, or improving municipal piers under the Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-saving Transportation program, and for other purposes.
1.
Short title
This Act may be cited as the   Piers Reinvestment Act  .
2.
Eligibility for municipal pier improvements
(a)
Resilience improvement grants
Section 176(d)(4)(A)(ii)(II) of title 23, United States Code, is amended—
(1)
in item (pp) by striking  and  at the end;
(2)
by redesignating item (qq) as item (rr); and
(3)
by inserting after item (pp) the following:
(qq)
strengthening, upgrading, or improving municipal piers; and
  .
(b)
At-Risk coastal infrastructure grants
Section 176(d)(4)(C)(iii) of title 23, United States Code, is amended by inserting  municipal piers,  after  pedestrian walkways, .
(c)
Authorization of appropriations
Section 11101(b)(1)(E)(i)(V) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act ( 23 U.S.C. 101  note) is amended by striking  $300,000,000  and inserting  $500,000,000 .
