  A RESOLUTION
To commend the Honorable Paul Hollis, director of the United States Mint, on the occasion
       of his return visit to the Louisiana House of Representatives and to express enduring
       gratitude for his outstanding contributions to the state of Louisiana.
       WHEREAS, Paul Hollis served as a distinguished member of the House of
Representatives from 2012 to 2024; he is among Louisiana's most outstanding public
servants and holds a special place in the history of the state; and
       WHEREAS, Mr. Hollis was nominated to serve as the director of the United States
Mint by President Donald J. Trump on July 16, 2025, and the United States Senate
confirmed him for the position on December 18, 2025; and
       WHEREAS, Mr. Hollis took the oath of office on January 5, 2026, and became the
forty-first director of the United States Mint and the first Louisianian to hold this
distinguished position; and
       WHEREAS, the Honorable Paul Hollis is most deserving of the highest recognition
for his dedicated service to the citizens of the United States and the state of Louisiana.

       THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Paul Hollis, director of the
United States Mint, on the occasion of his return visit to the Louisiana House of
Representatives; does hereby express enduring gratitude for his contributions to the nation
and to the state of Louisiana, particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of the
House and during his service on the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education;
and does hereby extend to him best wishes for continued success in his future endeavors.
