hcr1027/enrolled.txtResolutionENROLLED HOUSECONCURRENTRESOLUTION NO. 1027 By: West (Josh) of the HouseandDaniels of the SenateA Concurrent Resolution authorizing the House ofRepresentatives or the Senate to reconvene prior tocertain date and time; providing procedures;providing for sine die adjournment pursuant to theOklahoma Constitution.WHEREAS, Section 26 of Article V of the Oklahoma Constitutionestablishes the first Monday in February as the day on which theregular legislative session commences, after an organizational dayon the first Tuesday after the first Monday in odd-numbered years,and requires that the regular session be finally adjourned sine dienot later than the last Friday in May; andWHEREAS, based on these parameters, the legislative calendar forthe 2nd Session of the 60th Oklahoma Legislature began on February2, 2026, and will end not later than May 29, 2026; andWHEREAS, the Oklahoma Legislature will complete its work for theregular legislative session in a timely manner on Thursday, May 14,2026, prior to the date required to be finally adjourned sine die;andWHEREAS, the Oklahoma Legislature recognizes that unforeseencircumstances may arise that require the attention of theLegislature prior to sine die adjournment.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVESOF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE, THE SENATECONCURRING THEREIN:THAT following adjournment of each house on Thursday, May 7,2026, the House of Representatives or the Senate may reconvene atany time prior to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, upon themutual agreement of the Speaker of the House of Representatives andthe President Pro Tempore of the Senate; provided, that members ofthe respective house shall be provided at least twenty-four (24)hours' notice of the reconvening of said chamber.THAT pursuant to the provisions of Section 30 of Article V ofthe Oklahoma Constitution, each house shall have the permission ofthe opposite house to adjourn for more than three (3) days beginningThursday, May 7, 2026, and ending not later than 5:00 p.m. onThursday, May 14, 2026.THAT if the House of Representatives or the Senate reconvenepursuant to the provisions of this resolution, the respectivechambers will adjourn sine die at such time as may be declared bythe Presiding Officer of the respective chambers, but in no caselater than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026; provided, that in theevent the House of Representatives or the Senate are not reconvenedprior to or on Thursday, May 14, 2026, then the respective chambersof the Oklahoma Legislature shall be deemed to stand adjourned sinedie at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026.ENR.
