STATE OF HAWAII
SENATE RESOLUTION
REGARDING COMPLETION OF THE WORK OF THE THIRTY-THIRD LEGISLATURE,
REGULAR SESSION OF 2026, SUBSEQUENT TO ADJOURNMENT THEREOF.
���� BE IT
RESOLVED by the Senate of the Thirty-Third Legislature of the State of Hawaii,
Regular Session of 2026, that the President is hereby authorized and empowered
as the President deems necessary to:
���� (1)� Expend such sum or sums appropriated to the
Thirty‑Third Legislature, Regular Session of 2026, for
legislative-related expenses or other expenses;
���� (2)� Contract, hire, or employ such personnel,
assistance, and services, to meet the work of the Senate prior to the next
Regular Session and to determine the period of employment for each;
���� (3)� Approve the Journal of the Senate of any
legislative day being compiled as of the 60th legislative day;
���� (4)� Convene any committee authorized by law, or
the Rules of the Senate for the Thirty-Third Legislature, and carry out any
duties or business related to the convening of any authorized committee;
���� (5)� Take such actions as deemed to be reasonable
and necessary for the efficient operation of the Senate; and
���� (6)� Perform any other duties, all for the purposes
of completing the work of the Thirty-Third Legislature, Regular Session of 2026,
subsequent to the adjournment thereof, including the carrying out of any
official legislative business in the interim between the 2026 and 2027 Regular
Sessions, up to and including January 20, 2027; and
���� BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED that the Vice President is hereby authorized and empowered to carry
out the responsibilities enumerated under Rule 4 of the Rules of the Senate for
the Thirty-Third Legislature.
