18  RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
19   resolution may be cited as the "Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander Community
20   Development David Inoue Confirmation Resolution of 2026".
21  Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

29   Development, established by section 305 of the Office of Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs
30   Establishment Act of 2001, effective October 3, 2001 (D.C. Law 14-28; D.C. Official Code§ 2-
31   1374), filling a vacant seat formerly held by Niranjan Adhikari, for the remainder of an
32   unexpired term to end April 17, 2029.
33  Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
34   upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Mayor.
35  Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

 campaign and ensured completionof required reporting for corporate grants and gifts including completion

                          Mr. David Inoue was most recently Executive Director of the Japanese
                          American Citizens League (JACL). In his role, he furthered JACL’s role
                          as a civil rights organization in the broader civil rights community, Asian
                          American organizations, and Japanese American community
                          organizations.
              <  Prior to that, Mr. Inoue served as Administrative Director of Christ
                          House, a faith-based medical homeless service provider, providing
                          executive leadership to improve access to care, reduce health disparities,
                          and improve clinical outcomes for the most vulnerable populations. In
                  " 2006 he was elected to Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single
                          Member District 7E06 and was re-elected in 2008. He went on to serve
 on the 2011 Ward 4 Advisory Neighborhood Commission and Single Member District
 Redistricting Task Force.
‘A Ward 4 resident, Mr. Inoue earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Asian Studies from
 Comell University and his Master of Health Administration and Master of Public Health from
 Ohio State University.
