[Local Approval Received.]The Commonwealth of Massachusetts_______________In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court(2025-2026)_______________An Act relative to extending the police chief's service to the town of Leicester.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authorityof the same, as follows:1 Section 1. Notwithstanding Chapter 32, or any general or special law to the contrary,2 Kenneth M. Antanavica, Police Chief of the Town of Leicester, may continue to serve in the3 position of Police Chief up to April 30, 2028, the last day of the month of his 70th birthday, or4 until the date of his retirement, non-reappointment, or the date he is relieved of his duties by the5 town, whichever occurs first; provided, however, that he is mentally and physically capable of6 performing the duties of his office. No further deductions were made from the regular7 compensation of Kenneth M. Antanavica under Chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service8 subsequent to April 30, 2025, and upon retirement, he shall receive a superannuation retirement9 allowance equal to that which he would have been entitled had he retired on that date.10 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.1 of 1
