8AS INTRODUCED
9A Resolution relating to impeachment; making certain
            findings; calling for impeachment of Chief Justice
10Dustin Rowe of the Oklahoma Supreme Court.

12WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 1 and 3 of Article VIII of the
13 Oklahoma Constitution, articles of impeachment require approval by
14 the Oklahoma House of Representatives; and
15WHEREAS, certain conduct by Dustin Rowe acting in his capacity
16 as the Chief Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court forms the basis
17 for consideration of one or more articles of impeachment, including
18 but not limited to willful neglect of duty and corruption in office;
19 and
20WHEREAS, the conduct is related to grand jury proceedings in
21 Payne County, concerning allegations of misuse of the authority of
22 various public officials in state government; and
23WHEREAS, such conduct and failure constitute the basis for an
24 article of impeachment pursuant to Section 1 and 3 of Article VIII

2  of 51 O.S., Sections 51 et seq. of the Oklahoma Statutes.
3NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
4  OF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
5THAT pursuant to Section 1 and 3 of Article VIII of the Oklahoma
6  Constitution and enabling statutory provisions, Dustin Rowe, Chief
7  Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court, be impeached for the conduct
8  and omissions as described in this resolution.
