HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, May 14, 2026.
The committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs, to whom were referred
the petition (accompanied by resolutions, House, No. 3842) of Carmine
Lawrence Gentile, David T. Vieira and others for the adoption of resolutions
memorializing the Congress of the United States to call for a convention to
propose amendments in order to address concerns about the integrity of our
elections and the ability of the people to participate in effective self-
government; and the petition (accompanied by resolutions, House, No.
3888) of Steven George Xiarhos, Joseph D. McKenna and David T. Vieira
for the adoption of resolutions memorializing the Congress of the United
States to convene a Constitutional Convention, reports (under the provisions
of House Rule 27) recommending that the accompanying order (House, No.
5422) ought to be adopted.

1 Ordered, That the committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs be authorized to sit during
2 a recess of the General Court to make an investigation and study of House documents numbered
3 3842 and 3888 relative to Constitutional Conventions.
4 Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study
5 and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such
6 recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives
7 on or before December 31, 2026.
