scr77/enrolled.txt2026 Regular Session ENROLLEDSENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 77BY SENATOR LUNEAU AND REPRESENTATIVE JACKSONA CONCURRENT RESOLUTIONTo commend Grambling State University upon the celebration of the centennial of TigerAthletics and to recognize its enduring legacy of athletic excellence and itscontributions to the Southwestern Athletic Conference, the state of Louisiana, andthe United States of America.WHEREAS, Grambling State University is celebrating the centennial anniversaryof Tiger Athletics in 2026, marking one hundred years of tradition, achievement, and pridein intercollegiate competition; andWHEREAS, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Grambling StateUniversity sponsors fifteen varsity sports for men and women, competes at the NCAADivision I level, and is a proud member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference; andWHEREAS, Grambling State University has won more than one hundred twentyconference championships, reflecting a long and distinguished record of success across itsathletics program; andWHEREAS, Tiger Athletics has contributed significantly to the life and identity ofGrambling State University by fostering school spirit, strengthening institutional pride, andproviding generations of student-athletes with opportunities for growth in discipline,leadership, teamwork, and perseverance; andWHEREAS, the university's athletics tradition has produced numerous outstandingstudent-athletes whose achievements in competition, in the classroom, and in professionaland civic life have brought distinction to Grambling State University and to the state ofLouisiana; andWHEREAS, Grambling State University is especially renowned for the historiclegacy of its athletics program, including the extraordinary contributions of legendaryfootball coach, Eddie G.
