1		HOUSE RESOLUTION
2		    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3		Representatives wish to congratulate the Illinois Chiropractic
4		Society on the occasion of the 100-year anniversary of its
5		formation; and
6		    WHEREAS, On September 20, 1926, the Illinois Chiropractic
7		Society was formed when seven members of the chiropractic
8		profession in Illinois filed a certificate with the Illinois
9		Secretary of State to form a corporation under its current
10		name, which was accepted, leading to the organization's
11		establishment as a certified corporation; and
12		    WHEREAS, The stated object of the Illinois Chiropractic
13		Society is to further the interest of the chiropractic
14		profession and promote scientific research along chiropractic
15		lines; and
16		    WHEREAS, The Illinois Chiropractic Society is now the
17		largest chiropractic advocacy corporation in Illinois and is
18		recognized in the Illinois Medical Practice Act; and
19		    WHEREAS, The Illinois Chiropractic Society is the voice of
20		chiropractic in Illinois and promotes professional standards,
21		ethical conduct, advanced training, and quality health care

1		for the residents of Illinois; and
2		    WHEREAS, The Illinois Chiropractic Society protects
3		patients' rights and access to chiropractic care through the
4		advancement of chiropractic treatments in any and all
5		appropriate settings, including health care facilities,
6		private clinics, group practices, governmental institutions,
7		higher learning institutions, research facilities, and
8		multidisciplinary settings; and
9		    WHEREAS, The Illinois Chiropractic Society's philosophy is
10		"Natural First!", a phrase that represents the concept that
11		conservative care should be considered first when the option
12		exists; therefore, be it
13		    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
14		HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
15		we congratulate the Illinois Chiropractic Society on achieving
16		its 100-year anniversary, providing a century of leadership
17		and advocacy for chiropractic physicians in Illinois; and be
18		it further
19		    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20		presented to the Illinois Chiropractic Society as a symbol of
21		our esteem and respect.
