remainder of calendar year 2026 and the application of the ADA thereto.

Offered by House Committee on Rules
Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:
That through the remainder of calendar year 2026, each member of a joint committee is
authorized to vote remotely in that committee for not more than three days, and be it further
Resolved: Such a member shall notify the committee chair or co-chairs, as applicable, and the
committee clerk that the member is exercising this remote voting authority, and shall count toward
a committee quorum, and be it further
Resolved: The committee clerk shall record any vote cast by the member as a remote vote, and
shall track the number of days the member exercises this remote voting authority, and be it further
Resolved: That a member of a joint committee with a disability who is physically present at
the site of a joint committee meeting, but who cannot access the joint committee meeting room
due to the physical condition of the site, may vote remotely from the site and count toward a
committee quorum, without using one of the member’s remote voting days provided by this
resolution, for cases in which the joint committee meeting cannot be moved to an accessible onsite
location.
