HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 399
BY REPRESENTATIVE MCMAKIN
  A RESOLUTION
To commend the Louisiana Blazers Elite youth softball team on winning the 2026 USA
       Softball 16u National Championship.
       WHEREAS, Louisiana Blazers Elite is a youth softball organization that coaches
young women to play high-level softball; the organization begins at 8u and has teams up to
18u Amateur; the 16u and 18u teams focus primarily on team and individual player
development while also improving players who strive to play in college; and
       WHEREAS, the Louisiana Blazers Elite 16u team competed in Oklahoma City
during the summer of 2025; the team played at Devon Park, the home of the Women's
College World Series, and brought home the USA Softball 16u National Championship; and
       WHEREAS, the Louisiana Blazers Elite 16u team is the first Louisiana team to win
the tournament in any age group; the team was undefeated in eleven games, scored fifty-
eight runs, and allowed only eight runs; the team shutout its opponents in the quarterfinals,
semifinals, and championship games; and
       WHEREAS, the Louisiana Blazers Elite youth softball team is coached by Will
Spencer, JC Fressina, and Logan Lewis; and
       WHEREAS, the members of the Louisiana Blazers Elite are Jeanne Janise, Harper
Fresina, Riley Williams, Kodi Ricks, McKenzie Creel, Riley Perilloux, Bailey Spencer,
Bailey Ducote, Avery Hastings, A K Phillips, Rae'El Wheat, Karli Williams, and Aubrey
Gaudet; and
       WHEREAS, the Louisiana Blazers Elite 16u softball team and the entire organization
are most deserving of recognition for their outstanding achievement.

       THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Louisiana Blazers Elite youth softball
team on winning the 2026 USA Softball 16u National Championship and does hereby
encourage the members of the team to continue their excellent work and always strive for
greatness in competition.
