GIANARIS -- read twice and ordered printed, and whenprinted to be committed to the Committee on RulesAN ACT to amend chapter 704 of the laws of 1991 amending the arts andcultural affairs law and chapter 912 of the laws of 1920 relating toregulation of boxing and wrestling matches relating to tickets toplaces of entertainment, and chapter 151 of the laws of 2010 amendingthe arts and cultural affairs law relating to resale of tickets toplaces of entertainment, in relation to extending the effectivenessthereofTHE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:Section 1. Section 4 of chapter 704 of the laws of 1991 amending thearts and cultural affairs law and chapter 912 of the laws of 1920 relat-ing to the regulation of boxing and wrestling matches relating to tick-ets to places of entertainment, as amended by chapter 155 of the laws of2025, is amended to read as follows:§ 4. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shallhave become a law, provided, chapter 61 of the laws of 2007 shall nottake effect with respect to the issuance of licenses or certificatesunder this article by the secretary of state or department of stateuntil January 1, 2008 and regulation under this article by the commis-sioners of licenses of the political subdivisions of the state shallcontinue through December 31, 2007, and shall remain in full force andeffect only until and including June 30, [2026] 2027 when such act shallbe repealed and when, notwithstanding any other provision of law, theprovisions of article 25 of title G of the arts and cultural affairslaw, repealed by such act, shall be reinstituted; provided further thatsection 25.11 of the arts and cultural affairs law, as added by sectionone of this act, shall survive such repeal date. Provided, however, theprinting on tickets required pursuant to sections 25.07 and 25.08 ofarticle 25 of the arts and cultural affairs law, as added by this act,shall not apply to tickets printed prior to enactment of such article solong as notice of the higher maximum premium price and prohibition ofsales within one thousand five hundred feet from the physical structureEXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets[ ] is old law to be omitted.LBD16038-01-6S. 10640 2of the place of entertainment, where applicable, is prominentlydisplayed at the point of sale and at such place of entertainment.§ 2. Section 11 of chapter 151 of the laws of 2010, amending the artsand cultural affairs law relating to resale of tickets to places ofentertainment, as amended by chapter 155 of the laws of 2025, is amendedto read as follows:§ 11. Notwithstanding the provisions of article 5 of the generalconstruction law, if this act shall take effect after May 15, 2010, theprovisions of article 25 of the arts and cultural affairs law, exceptsection 25.11 are hereby revived and shall continue in full force andeffect as they existed on May 15, 2010 through June 30, [2026] 2027 whenupon such date such provisions shall expire and be deemed repealed.§ 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
