1051   amended by striking out, in lines 13 and 25, the words “handicapped person” and inserting in
1052   place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- person with a disability.
1053  SECTION 327. Said section 9 of said chapter 239, as so appearing, is hereby further
1054   amended by striking out, in line 32, the words “handicapped persons” and inserting in place
1055   thereof the following words:- persons with disabilities.
1056  SECTION 328. Section 5B of chapter 260 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is
1057   hereby amended by striking out, in line 5, the word “handicap” and inserting in place thereof the
1058   following word:- disability.
1059  SECTION 329. Section 40 of chapter 262 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
1060   amended by striking out, in line 110, the words “disabled abuse” and inserting in place thereof
1061   the following words:- abuse of persons with disabilities.
1062  SECTION 330. Section 13F of chapter 265 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is
1063   hereby amended by inserting after the word “intellectual”, in lines 2, 3, 12,13 and 14 and 15,
1064   each time it appears, the following words:- or developmental.
1065  SECTION 331. Said section 13F of said chapter 265, as so appearing, is hereby further
1066   amended by striking out, in lines 21 and 22, and 22, the words “mentally retarded person”, each

1067   time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- person
1068   with an intellectual disability.
1069  SECTION 332. Section 45 of said chapter 265, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
1070   striking out, in line 3, the words “mentally retarded person” and inserting in place thereof the
1071   following words:- person with an intellectual disability.
1072  SECTION 333. Section 123 of chapter 266 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is
1073   hereby amended by striking out, in lines 6 and 7, the words “mentally ill and developmentally
1074   disabled persons” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- persons with mental
1075   illness and persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
1076  SECTION 334. Section 48 of chapter 271 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
1077   amended by striking out, in lines 4 and 5, the words “disabled veterans” and inserting in place
1078   thereof the following words:- veterans with disabilities.
1079  SECTION 335. Section 98A of chapter 272 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is
1080   hereby amended by striking out, in lines 2 and 3 and 14 and 15, each time they appear, the words
1081   “deaf or hearing handicapped person, or other physically handicapped person” and inserting in
1082   place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- person who is deaf or person with a hearing
1083   disability or other disability.
1084  SECTION 336. Said section 98A of said chapter 272, as so appearing, is hereby further
1085   amended by striking out, in lines 9 and 10, the words “deaf or hearing handicapped, or other
1086   physically handicapped person” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- person who
1087   is deaf or person with a hearing disability or other disability.

1089   amended by striking out, in line 1, the words “disabled person” and inserting in place thereof the

1091  SECTION 338. Section 100E of chapter 276 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is
1092   hereby amended by striking out, in line 31, the words “Disabled person” and inserting in place
1093   thereof the following words:- Person with a disability.
1094  SECTION 339. Said section 100E of said chapter 276, as so appearing, is hereby further
1095   amended by striking out, in lines 32 and 33, the words “is otherwise mentally or physically
1096   disabled” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- otherwise has a mental or physical
1097   disability.
1098  SECTION 340. Section 100J of said chapter 276, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
1099   striking out, in line 9, the words “disabled person” and inserting in place thereof the following
1100   words:- person with a disability.
1101  SECTION 341. Items 3722-7870 and 3722-8846 of section 2 of chapter 167 of the acts of
1102   1987 are hereby amended by striking out the words “department of community affairs”, each
1103   time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- executive
1104   office of housing and livable communities.
1105  SECTION 342. Said items 3722-7870 and 3722-8846 of said section 2 of said chapter
1106   167 are hereby further amended by striking out the words “handicapped persons”, each time they
1107   appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- persons with
1108   disabilities.

1116  SECTION 345. Item 3722-8871 of said section 2 of said chapter 167 is hereby amended
1117   by striking out the words “department of community affairs” and inserting in place thereof the
1118   following words:- executive office of housing and livable communities.
1119  SECTION 346. Sections 27, 158 to 168, inclusive, 174, 279, 283 and 284 shall take
1120   effect 240 days after the effective date of this act.
