TexasandObergefell v. Hodges; andWHEREAS, the state of Delaware ranks fourth in the country when it comes to LGBTQ+ equality, and its voters elected the first-ever transgender Congresswoman; andWHEREAS, LGBTQ+ Delawareans and their allies take great pride in these accomplishments, even as they must renew their commitment to fight against an extremist movement that seeks to strip their hard-won rights and insult their human dignity; andWHEREAS, today, the General Assembly recommits to guaranteeing equality and fairness for all Delawareans, including those that are LGBTQ+, while also respecting the great diversity that exists within that community.NOW, THEREFORE:BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the 153rd General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the Senate concurring therein, that the State of Delaware acknowledges the month of June 2026 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month.SYNOPSISThis House Concurrent Resolution celebrates the progress of the LGBTQ+ movement and acknowledges the month of June 2026 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in the State of Delaware.
