R. 9239 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES June 10, 2026 Mr. Crow (for himself, Mr. Deluzio , Ms. Goodlander , and Ms. Houlahan ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary A BILLTo provide for limitations on judgments, awards, and compromise settlements under section 1304 of title 31, United States Code.1.Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Drain the Slush Fund Act .2.Judgments, awards, and compromise settlements(a)In generalSection 1304 of title 31, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:(e)No judgment, award, compromise settlement, interest, or costs shall be authorized for payments that arise out of a lawsuit or claim filed by the President or Vice President..(b)ApplicabilityThis section, and the amendments made by this section, shall apply to any pending case or any cause of action arising on or after January 20, 2025.
