hr35/introduced.txt26LC 112 4318House Resolution 35EXBy: Representatives Adeyina of the 110th, Efstration of the 104th, Beckles of the 96th, Parkof the 107th, Ali of the 106th, and othersA RESOLUTION1 Honoring the life and memory of Dr. Willie Frank Rainey Jr., beloved father of State2 Representative Dr. Jasmine Clark of House District 108, and recognizing his enduring legacy3 of service, leadership, and compassion; and for other purposes.4 WHEREAS, the members of the Georgia House of Representatives join State Representative5 Dr. Jasmine Clark of House District 108, her family, friends, colleagues, and countless6 individuals throughout Georgia in honoring the life and memory of her beloved father, Dr.7 Willie Frank Rainey Jr., whose life was defined by service, excellence, compassion, and8 unwavering devotion to family; and9 WHEREAS, Dr. Willie Frank Rainey Jr. dedicated his life to improving the lives of others10 through medicine, leadership, mentorship, and community service, leaving a lasting impact11 on patients, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him; and12 WHEREAS, a proud graduate of Tuskegee University and the Medical College of Georgia,13 Dr. Rainey embodied the values of academic excellence, perseverance, and lifelong learning14 while also distinguishing himself as a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; andH. R. 35EX-1-26LC 112 431815 WHEREAS, following the completion of his residency through the Emory University16 hospital system in 1985, Dr. Rainey embarked upon a distinguished career in internal17 medicine that spanned more than three decades and touched the lives of thousands18 throughout the State of Georgia; and19 WHEREAS, he faithfully served for 34 years with the Southeast Permanente Medical Group20 of Kaiser, rising to the position of Regional Chief of Adult Medicine and earning the respect21 and admiration of patients and healthcare professionals alike through his dedication,22 expertise, and compassionate care; and23 WHEREAS, beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Rainey was a devoted husband,24 father, grandfather, mentor, and friend whose wisdom, strength of character, and25 commitment to uplifting others served as an inspiration to all who knew him; and26 WHEREAS, among his greatest sources of pride was his family, including his daughter, State27 Representative Dr. Jasmine Clark, whose commitment to public service, education, science,28 and advocacy reflects the values of excellence, integrity, and perseverance instilled in her by29 her father; and30 WHEREAS, Dr. Rainey's influence extends beyond his own accomplishments through the31 lives of his children and grandchildren, and his legacy will continue to inspire future32 generations to pursue lives of purpose, service, and achievement; and33 WHEREAS, while his passing is deeply mourned, the extraordinary example he set as a34 physician, leader, father, and citizen will remain a lasting testament to a life well lived and35 a legacy that will endure for years to come.H.
