  SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1088
A   JOINT RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONFIRMATION OF THE
    APPOINTMENT OF FLOYD MCKISSICK TO THE NORTH CAROLINA UTILITIES
    COMMISSION.
  Whereas, under the provisions of G.S. 62-10, appointments made by the Governor to
membership on the North Carolina Utilities Commission are subject to confirmation by the
General Assembly by joint resolution; and
  Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officers of the House of
Representatives and the Senate the name of his appointee, Floyd McKissick, to serve on the North
Carolina Utilities Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2029, to fill the unexpired term of
Charlotte Mitchell; Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
  SECTION 1. The appointment of Floyd McKissick to serve on the North Carolina
Utilities Commission, beginning upon confirmation and expiring June 30, 2029, is confirmed.
  SECTION 2. This resolution is effective upon ratification.
  In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 2nd day of July, 2026.
