   The committee on Ways and Means to whom was referred the Bill
providing for fairness and equity for Massachusetts Water Resources
Authority employees (House, No. 2896), reports recommending that the
same ought to pass with an amendment substituting therefor the
accompanying bill (House, No. 5551).

    An Act providing for fairness and equity for Massachusetts Water Resources Authority
    employees.
  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
    of the same, as follows:
1  Clause (ii) of the fifth sentence of subsection (c) of section 7 of chapter 372 of the acts
2   of 1984 is hereby amended by striking out the words “, provided that any collective bargaining
3   agreement may protect employees against such actions on arbitrary, capricious or unreasonable
4   grounds” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- for just cause.
