Document has been reformatted to meet World Wide Web specifications.)A house RESOLUTIONto congratulate Hattie mae Green of OrangeburgCounty on the occasion of her one hundred and third birthday and to wish her ajoyous birthday celebration and many years of continued health and happiness.Whereas, the members ofthe South Carolina House of Representatives are delighted to learn that HattieMae Green of Orangeburg County will celebrate her one hundred and thirdbirthday on July 29, 2026; andWhereas, Hattie MaeGreen was born on July 29, 1923, in the first quarter of the twentieth century,she has witnessed many remarkable social changes, technological advancements,and international developments that have spanned the globe throughout herlifetime; andWhereas, Mrs. Green is adevoted matriarch to her large and loving family. She is the widow of the lateDeacon George Green and together they reared eight wonderful children, four ofwhom are still living. She has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, andgreat-great-grandchildren; andWhereas, a blessed andfaithful woman of God, she is the oldest member of Williams Chapel AME Churchin Orangeburg, where she has dedicated her time and efforts to various rolesthroughout the years. Her family attributes her longevity to her unwaveringdedication and hard work in the church. Mrs. Green loved worshiping with herfellow church members, and as a lover of music, loved singing her favorite song"Come by Here Lord"; andWhereas, Mrs. Greenlives at home with two of her children that care for her and aid her in dailylife. She has kept her good appetite and every day she enjoys sitting at thetable to eat and talk with her children at mealtimes; andWhereas, the members ofthe South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to honor this daughterof South Carolina at the celebration of her one hundred and third birthday andjoin with her family and friends in congratulating her on reaching thisextraordinary milestone.
