A house RESOLUTION
TO CONGRATULATE RHIANNON WYATT OF
PAULINE-GLENN SPRINGS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL UPON BEING NAMED 2026 SPARTANBURG
COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT 6 TEACHER OF THE YEAR, TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION FOR HER
DEDICATED SERVICE TO CHILDREN, AND TO WISH HER CONTINUED SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE.
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to
learn that Rhiannon Wyatt has been selected 2026 Teacher of the Year for
Spartanburg County School District 6; and
Whereas, a K-5 kindergarten teacher at Pauline-Glenn Springs
Elementary School, Mrs. Wyatt has served as an educator for twenty-five years.
In preparation for her career, she earned a bachelor's degree in education from
the University of South Carolina Upstate and a master's degree in special
education from Converse College, as well as National Board Certification. As a
teacher, she finds invaluable support in the encouragement of her family: her
husband, Daniel; and their two children, Jackson and Julia; and
Whereas, each district Teacher of the Year in the Palmetto State undergoes
a rigorous screening and assessment process in order to be selected as the top
teacher in that district; and
Whereas, representing all teachers in South Carolina, these teachers
act as role models and mentors for their colleagues in their districts and
demonstrate a consistent commitment to excellence; and
Whereas, district Teachers of the Year have hundreds of years of
combined teaching experience and possess a proven ability to make a positive
difference for their students, schools, and communities; and
Whereas, South Carolina is fortunate to have such dedicated and
caring teachers educating and molding South Carolina's youth; and
Whereas, it is entirely appropriate for the South Carolina House of
Representatives to pause in its deliberations to honor Rhiannon Wyatt of
Pauline-Glenn Springs Elementary School, 2026 Teacher of the Year for
Spartanburg County School District 6, for amply providing her students the
opportunity to live complete and successful lives as future leaders of their
communities. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of
Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House
of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Rhiannon Wyatt of
Pauline-Glenn Springs Elementary School upon being named 2026 Spartanburg
County School District 6 Teacher of the Year, express appreciation for her
dedicated service to children, and wish her continued success in the future.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to
Rhiannon Wyatt.
